| I first tried reading this book a while ago, but gave up. Not a good sign you would think. But a customer bought the book from me and returned it a week later telling me I should really try and read it again it was such a good laugh. |

On her advice I started again, and this time I continued reading even when I thought it really wasn’t going anyway. And I have to say I was so very glad I did.
The story involves Jesse Woods, who believes 100 per cent in fairy tale endings. And why shouldn’t she with a recession-proof career as TV presenter daredevil, a boyfriend any girl would give they right arm for and a palatial pink mansion.
But like all fairytales this one has a sting in its tail. No sooner had Cinderella turned into a princess was she back scrubbing floors.
Due to one night’s mistake Jesse’s world is turned upside down, and within days she is utterly heartbroken and friendless. Even her best friend Visa no longer loves or wants her it seems.
So faced with nowhere to live she is forced back home to live with her step mum and two evil stepsisters.
Life for Jesse just couldn’t get any worst, and this is where the story really begins. Will Jesse learn that happy endings can be found in the strangest of places and with people you would never expect?
Despite my shaky start with this book I would recommend it. I would describe it as a typical ‘chick lit’ story, but if you are looking for a light read and laughter then this is the book for you. It is a little slow paced to begin with, but once you get into it you won’t be able to put it down. |

I love any and all fairy tales! I love the ones that are slightly scary.
