... though he had not visited her for some time. She would go to the room where they spent so many happy times together and wait, but nothing.

Was it her imagination or had he really visited her on so many occasions. Was it her mind playing tricks on her. No she was sure he had really been there. She could sense him, smell him. She had talked to him, told him how much she missed him.

Maybe he knew the house had been sold - it was time to move on.
